Richard (PhD, University of California Santa Barbara) is an Assistant Professor in the School of Communication at The Ohio State University, Principal Investigator of the Cognitive Communication Science Lab, member of the Center for Cognitive and Brain Sciences, and officer of the Communication Science and Biology interest group at the International Communication Association. His research investigates how motivation shapes attitudes and behavior related to media engagement, persuasion, and moral messages.
