Congratulations to School of Communication undergraduate student Megan Husslein for being awarded the 2023 Memorial Tournament Journalism Scholarship.

The 2023 Memorial Tournament Journalism Scholarship is provided by the Memorial Tournament, a professional golf tournament held each year in Dublin, Ohio, to recognize and provide financial support for outstanding students pursuing journalism. Recipients of the award are invited to attend the Tournament to be recognized for their achievements.

“It is such an honor to be chosen as the recipient of the Memorial Tournament scholarship, especially as a Columbus native. I know firsthand how much the Tournament and Jack Nicklaus mean to central Ohio,” said Husslein. “Being able to experience the media center firsthand and have the opportunity to sit in on interviews with professional golfers was a wonderful glimpse of what I am looking forward to doing in my future."

Husslein will be the lead sports producer for Lantern TV during the upcoming academic year and has aspirations of going into sports broadcasting post-graduation.
