The Writing Across the Curriculum Program at Ohio State awarded Jessica Frampton, a PhD student in the School of Communication, an honorable mention for its 2017-2018 Outstanding Writing Instruction Award.

The committee was impressed by Frampton’s dedication to her students and her ability to use her own experience as an undergraduate student to improve the way she teaches complex communication theories. Frampton was also acknowledged for re-evaluating her teaching techniques when students were struggling with challenging concepts. 

Frampton’s research at Ohio State focuses primarily on the role of communication in the experience of stress in close relationships.
