Alumna awarded OSUPD Citizen Award

Shaniqua Ingol
School of Communication alumna Shaniqua Ingol (BA, communication analysis and practice, 2015) was recently given the Ohio State’s Police Division Citizen Award for her outreach programming that engages international students with Ohio State’s police officers. Ingol was nominated by Officer Cassandra Shaffer, who also received the Officer of the Year award.
 
Ingol is a program coordinator for global engagement with the Office of International Affairs where she collaborated with OSUPD to host several events such as “Pumpkins, Peace and Police,” “Cooking out with Cops” and “Pedal with Police.” The goal of these events was to connect officers with the community.
