Twelve Ohio State Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) students attended the 2025 PRSSA International Conference (ICON) in Washington, D.C., where the chapter earned a national Star Chapter Award and connected with more than 2,000 students and professionals during workshops, keynote sessions and networking events.

Professor Scott Campbell, Rinehart Chair in Mediated Communication, was recognized as an International Communication Association Fellow at the 2025 ICA Conference in Denver, honoring his distinguished scholarship in mobile media and communication. With the addition of Campbell, nine Ohio State School of Communication faculty now hold the distinction of being ICA Fellow, a recognition of distinguished scholarship contributions in the broad field of communication.
From collaborating with FOX Sports to host a panel on the future of American soccer to engaging with industry leaders and representing the university at a national communications conference, students and faculty in the School of Communication had an exciting and impactful fall. A faculty member was also recognized with a prestigious international fellowship, highlighting the school’s academic excellence. Additionally, student reporters had the opportunity to cover a major football rivalry game and capture memorable moments on the field.
