Bushman to Speak at TEDxOhioStateUniversity in March
Professor of Communication Brad J. Bushman will speak at the main TEDxOhioStateUniversity event, “Nexus,” on March 7, at Fawcett Auditorium.
Bushman studies why people become aggressive or violent, the effects of aggression and how it can be reduced. He has advised former President Barack Obama on gun violence and testified before the U.S. Congress on youth violence. His research challenges common misconceptions, such as the belief that guns make people safer or that releasing anger reduces aggression. He has authored many research articles that are widely cited, and his work has appeared in top scientific journals as well as major news outlets.
