My interdisciplinary program of research contributes to our understanding of how individuals process political and sociocultural information. Specifically, I study the effects of various forms of media using techniques from cognitive and emotional psychology and neuroscience. I’m primarily interested in how messages influence individuals' identity development, decision-making capabilities, and psychological behavior.
