My interdisciplinary program of research contributes to our understanding of how individuals process political and sociocultural information. Specifically, I study the effects of messages from political elites and various forms of entertainment media using techniques from cognitive psychology and neuroscience. Altogether, I’m interested in how these mechanisms influence individuals' identity development, political decision-making, and psychological behavior.
