David DeAndrea (Ph.D., Michigan State University) is a Professor in the School of Communication at the Ohio State University. His research examines self-presentation, impression management, attributions, and person perception in online settings. More specifically, his research has examined how people evaluate the credibility and authenticity of information online across an array of contexts to better understand, for instance, how online information influences interpersonal evaluations, impressions of products/businesses, judgments of health organizations, the impact of political messages, and positive body image.
