Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

My research interests are broadly in the areas of media psychology and moral psychology. Specifically, I am interested in how people form attitudes towards entertainment media figures. Currently, much of my research explores what makes characters likeable beyond moral considerations. I would also like to explore the role of viewer identity in character perceptions, especially in the context of the queer community. In my free time, I enjoy horror movies, pirates, and psychedelic rock.
