School of Communication undergraduate student Kate Jeffries organized a pop-up exhibit in the Rare Books & Manuscripts Library in Thompson Library featuring highlights from the Marilyn R. Rosenberg collection. Rosenberg, a visual artist and poet, donated an extensive collection of her work to the Rare Books & Manuscripts Library in 2024. This exhibit gives visitors an opportunity to explore more than 50 years of Rosenberg’s work, including books, drawings, visual poetry and more.

Rosenberg’s work ranges from playful to serious, as she blends visual art with written language in thought-provoking ways. The exhibit highlights the depth of her work while introducing audiences to contemporary experimental forms of expression.

The event, titled “Marilyn R. Rosenberg: The Contemporary Artist You Didn’t Know You Needed,” will be held March 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. in Thompson Library room 150A/B. The event is presented by Ohio State University Libraries and is open to the public. Jeffries, a Strategic Communication major, is a student assistant for special collections at Thompson Library.
