Twenty School of Communication students showcased their transformative learning experiences in the Second-Year Transformational Experience Program (STEP) Fall Expo on October 19. STEP is a joint effort of the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Student Life, focused on student engagement and development in an effort to enhance second-year success. Students interact with faculty members and are exposed to activities designed to enhance personal, professional and academic growth. 

All students involved in the STEP program develop proposals to engage in a transformational learning experience in one of six core areas: internships, leadership, education abroad, service-learning, undergraduate research or artistic and creative endeavors. The STEP Expo provides the program's participants an opportunity to present their accomplishments and reflect on the impact of their STEP experience.
