Ohio State School of Communication faculty and PhD candidates presented at the 4th Annual International Summer School focused on “Trust in Mediated Communication” in June in Münster, Germany. The conference explored how fake news and alternative facts, interaction in social networks, online trade and the perception of others in virtual reality environments all connect to the concept of “trust” in communication.
Associate Professor Dave DeAndrea, Assistant Professor Teresa Lynch and Visiting Assistant Professor Nicholas Matthews participated in the program as workshop organizers and respondents to the student projects. DeAndrea and Lynch also gave keynote talks.
PhD Candidates Megan Vendemia and Jessica McKnight joined other students from around the world, showcasing their ongoing research projects and receiving feedback from senior scholars.
