Roberts Named Research Fellow with Open Education Group

Lecturer Jasmine Roberts was named a 2017-2018 research fellow with the Open Education Group. OEG is operated through the David O. McKay School of Education at Brigham Young University. The OEG is committed to expanding the research base on the cost-savings, outcomes, use and perceptions of open educational resources. This is the third year of fellowships funded by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and Roberts was one of 27 research fellows selected from a very strong applicant pool.
 
Recipients are part of a fellowship program that last for 18 months and has an approximate value of $5,000. Collectively, the fellows represent 24 institutions of higher education.
 
Roberts plans to research faculty experiences in adopting open educational resources and the impact of educational resources on student success, particularly in the communication discipline.
