Roberts to Deliver TED Talk on Campus

Jasmine Roberts

Lecturer Jasmine Roberts was selected to deliver a TED Talk at TEDxOhioStateUniversity. Founded in 2011, TedxOhioStateUniversity is a student organization that hosts independently-run TED Talks. Every spring, the organization hosts an event for the Ohio State community, bringing in students, staff, faculty and alumni as speakers.

Roberts’ talk is titled “I’m tired of talking about race.”

“Overall, I plan to discuss why many people of color experience ‘emotional fatigue’ when discussing race with their white counterparts due to ‘white fragility,’ a term coined by sociologist Dr. Robin DiAngelo,” Roberts said.

The event will be held Feb. 23 in Mershon Auditorium. Tickets are available for purchase here.
