Last week thirty students from PRSSA traveled to New York City to visit companies, connect with alumni and network with professionals. Over the course of two days, students visited nine companies, connected with 21 alumni and met with a total of 50 professionals.

Company tours included Vayner Media, IBM, Warner Music Group, Edelman, Havas Media, Weber Shandwick, Full Picture, Lippe Taylor and Simulmedia.

Students also had the opportunity to meet alumni for coffee and ask for career advice.

"Whatever you want, just put yourself out there because you’re never going to get what you don’t ask for," said Allie Roda, 2014 alumna and corporate communication manager for Rubicon Project.

Students learned about corporate and agency life in the Big Apple and made valuable connections with professionals.

"This trip was a huge success. My favorite part was chatting with alumni at our event Friday night. We're grateful to be able to provide students this opportunity each year," said PRSSA alumni relations director Eleanor Kapcar.
