Professor Kelly Garrett and associate professor Erik Nisbet were quoted in a Columbus Dispatch article about election misinformation, deep fakes and the power of social media.

Both professors presented at the Great Power Competition and Conflict: The Informational Power of USA, Russia and China conference hosted by the Merson Center for International Security Studies Jan. 30-Feb. 1.

“Don’t throw up your hands and say, ‘Oh, there’s just so much noise out there we can’t tell what is true,’ because that is self-defeating. That is actually more problematic,” said Garrett.
