Associate Professor Lanier Holt delivered a keynote address at the National Conference for Radio Television Digital News Association titled “The Color of Coverage: Changes in Journalism and Race, post George Floyd.''

He spoke to an audience of news directors from all over the country about how the media coverage of Floyd was more prominent than other racial topics had been previously. He also gave his perspective on how to diversify newsrooms and offered solutions on how to improve the coverage of racial topics. His talk took place in Minneapolis in September.
