Garrett Talks at Georgetown Law on Social Media Impact on Elections

Kelly Garrett
Associate Professor Kelly Garrett recently gave a talk at the Tech Law and Policy Colloquium at Georgetown Law.

Garrett presented his paper, “Social media’s contribution to political misperceptions in U.S. presidential elections.” Garrett used 3-wave panel data collected in the past two U.S. presidential elections to assess the relationship between social media use and endorsement of falsehoods about candidates and campaign issues. The paper is still waiting to be peer reviewed.
