Cho named Huber Fellow

HyunYi Cho

Professor Hyunyi Cho has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 Joan N. Huber Faculty Fellowship. This fellowship is awarded to some of the strongest scholars in the social and behavioral sciences disciplines. In addition to the recognition of the award, Cho will also receive an annual cash award of $6,000 a year for three years to further her research.  

Cho’s current research examines intersections between media, health and identities. She will receive funding to support her research and her membership in the American Association for the Advancement of Science. 

Additionally, Cho works on research for health communication and risk communication,  specifically issues including cancer, infectious diseases, substance use and environmental exposure.
