Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Bushman's Road Rage Study Featured on WSYX ABC 6

Brad Bushman

Research on road rage conducted by School of Communication professor, Brad Bushman, was recently featured on WSYX ABC 6. This was the university's first road rage study.

The study involved placing 60 drivers behind the wheel in Ohio State's Driving Simulation Lab. Half the participants had an unloaded gun on the passenger seat next to them and the other half were given a tennis raquet. The participants were then encountered with a number of frustrating driving scenarios. On average, the participants with the gun next to them had more aggressive responses to the frustrating conditions.
