The USA Today article ‘Road rage shootings are increasing. There were more than 500 last year, report finds’ cites School of Communication Professor Brad Bushman’s research on road rage. 

The article depicts the increase in road rage cases in correlation to gun violence. Bushman’s research adds that these reports are alarming but unsurprising, showing that the presence of a gun can increase aggressive driving. He calls it a “double-whammy,” where both driving and having a gun make people feel powerful.
