Bushman on Balenciaga and U.N. Partnership

Brad Bushman

Professor Brad Bushman weighs in on Balenciaga's controversial partnership with United Nations agency, World Food Programme.

Balenciaga is selling luxury clothing pieces at high prices -- a cotton T-shirt, for example, at $395 -- and donating 10% of the proceeds to WFP.

Bushman says this relationship could hurt the WFP's reputation, and other experts agree. NPR cites Bushman's 2014 study about the relationship between sex, violence and buying intentions.

Bushman's 2014 study was co-authored by Robert Lull, former Ohio State associate professor in communication. Read the full story on NPR.
