Brinberg receives Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award
Assistant Professor Mimi Brinberg received Ohio State’s Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award, one of the university’s highest honors recognizing outstanding research. This award was given to only three faculty members across the university.

Assistant Professor Mimi Brinberg was named a recipient of Ohio State’s Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award, one of the university’s highest honors for faculty research and creative activity.

The award, presented by the Enterprise for Research, Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK), honors a select group of early-career faculty whose work is already making a significant impact while demonstrating exceptional promise for the future. This year, only a small number of faculty across the university were selected, highlighting the prestige of the recognition.

Brinberg was surprised with the announcement during the April School of Communication faculty meeting, where Cynthia Carnes, senior associate vice president for research operations with ERIK, and Dean of Social & Behavioral Sciences Ryan King honored her achievement.

“Mimi’s selection reflects the originality, rigor, and influence of her research, as well as her growing national and interdisciplinary reputation,” said King.

Her recognition highlights the impact of her work and the continued momentum of research within the School of Communication.
