Registration is open for the third annual, online quantum boot camp for social scientists led by School of Communication Professor Joyce Wang. The event is free and will be held on Zoom from July 17-21 with morning presentations and afternoon tutorials. Wang will be a preliminary speaker.
The Quantum Social Science Bootcamp is a response to a lack of supply of quantum expertise in the social sciences. By bringing together experts with capacities across different forms of quantum social science, students with little or no background gain a sense of why quantum social science might be needed, and what its basic elements would be. From there, and as members of a growing interdisciplinary community of scholars like those represented at the boot camp, participants should be able to begin further study on their own.
This year, in addition to repeating last year’s successful tutorial on quantum math and game theory, the program will add a second tutorial on qualitative quantum methods.
