
Reading stories, not news: How the Internet has created an unpredictable audience
Recent research suggests that in the Internet age, journalism audiences are increasingly likely to consume news on a story-by-story basis, clicking links on social media or forums instead of returning daily to a trused news source. How big a challenge does this pose for journalism? What can and should journalists and news organizations do to respond to this new type of news consumer?
