COMM 3554: Social Implications of Communication Technology

Analyze the individual, interpersonal, and societal impact of digital and Internet technologies such as blogs, wikis, online dating sites, mobile telephony, texting, apps, social media sites, video games, virtual reality, and online virtual worlds. Covers important issues that cut across multiple technologies, such as privacy, digital deception, and cyberbullying. Prereq: Not open to students with credit for 654.
