Ann Rosseau is visiting Ohio State for the next two months to work alongside professor Silvia Knobloch-Westerwick.

Rousseau is currently working as a postdoc at the University of Leuven in Belgium. During her PhD she examined associations between early adolescents’ exposure to sexualizing media content and their body image and sexual development. She specifically gave attention was given to the role of peers in this relationship.

Her postdoc project aims to examine the role of interpersonal communication in media effects. More specifically, it focuses on the role of peer communication in adolescents’ reliance on, processing, interpretation and use of media content.
