Top Communication Student was awarded to Elizabeth Riggs and Top Journalism Student was awarded to Abigail Vesoulis. Cheyenne Meek receivedThe Myers Award, which honors an outstanding communication senior and Amanda Etchison received The Robert Wolfe Journalism Honor Medal, the School's oldest award given annually to an outstanding journalism senior.

The first recipient of The Brennan Family Award for Courageous Journalism was Kevin Stankiewicz. In addition, John Oller; Denny Lynch, the creator of The Stairway to Heaven Award; and Suzanne Wilson were in attendance to present awards.
