Trimble Interviewed on “Current Time America” Episode

School of Communication Lecturer Jeffrey Trimble was interviewed on the Jan. 4 episode of “Current Time America” broadcasted on the Voice of America Russian channel. VOA Russian is a global, 24/7 Russian-language digital channel that broadcasts programing across television, radio and the internet. “Current Time America” is a one-hour live daily television newscast providing international and U.S. news that is not otherwise available on state-controlled Russian media.

Trimble was interviewed about Paul Whelam, a U.S. citizen arrested in Moscow, and the parallels between his case and the detention of American journalist Nick Daniloff in Moscow in 1986. Trimble’s segment can be watched here at the 24:50 mark.

Trimble joined the School of Communication in 2018 after 40 years of experience in international journalism and media management, including 15 years at U.S. News and World Report magazine.
