Sports & Self-Esteem Research Featured in U.S. News & World Report

Silvia Knobloch-Westerwick

Professor Silvia Knobloch-Westerwick’s research on sports and self-esteem was featured in a March 12 article in U.S. News and World Report. The study, published in Communication & Sport, found that a person’s self-esteem can be boosted for days following a big win by their favorite football team. The study took place around the 2015 football game between Ohio State and Michigan State.
