Robert Bond Gives Distinguished Alumni Speech

Robert Bond at SPGS

Associate Professor Robert Bond spoke at the Arizona State University School for Politics and Global Studies Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series on Oct. 11.

Bond’s presentation, titled “The effect of campaign rallies on misperceptions,” was given to a room full of faculty and graduate students. Bond graduated from ASU with a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2002 and a Master of Arts in political science in 2007. The SPGS named Bond a Distinguished Alum in 2019.

The Distinguished Alumni Speaker Series hosts at least one speaker a year to honor outstanding alumni for their accomplishments. The series also serves to raise the visibility of SPGS as well as educate undergraduate and graduate students about career possibilities associated with degrees at Arizona State University.

Bond’s research at Ohio State focuses on political communication, attitudes, behavior, social networks and how they all intersect. Graduate students of the School of Communication named Bond the faculty member of the year in 2020.
