Associate Professor Erik Nisbet’s research on the impact of fake news in the 2016 presidential election was featured in a New York Times editorial by opinion columnist Michelle Goldberg. Nisbet, along with Professors Emeriti Richard Gunther and Paul A. Beck from the Department of Political Science, conducted a survey of 281 questions, three of which were designed to test exposure to online disinformation.

Goldberg’s column appeared in print on Dec. 18 in the New York Times.
