When the Democratic Presidential Debates hit central Ohio Oct. 15, the Ohio State School of Communication was well represented by Lantern staffers on the ground reporting alongside national media.

Lantern Media sent four student-journalists to cover the debate at Otterbein University in Wesetrville, including writer Joe Matts, multimedia editor Casey Cascaldo, Lantern TV campus producer Akayla Gardner and Jack Long, Lantern special projects reporter. 

They were joined on the scene by Ohio State alumnus and former NPR staffer Marilyn Geewax, and journalism professor Dr. Nicole Kraft.
