The Lantern covered campus protests related to the war in Gaza as the semester wrapped up this spring. Coverage of similar events by student journalists made national news, with Lantern editor-in-chief Arianna Smith appearing in the CNN article “As pro-Palestinian protests sweep campus, student journalists are rushing to the big stories and exams.”

The Lantern and staff also appeared in  the Associated Press article “Student journalists are covering their own campuses in convulsion. Here’s what they have to say.”
