Garrett Talks at Stanford University About Fake News

Associate Professor Kelly Garrett gave a talk April 19 at Stanford University as part of a conference called “Social Media and Democracy: Assessing the State of the Field and Identifying Unexplored Questions.”

Sponsored by the Social Science Research Center and Stanford University, the two-day conference gathered researchers to discuss the current literate on social media and democracy and to create an agenda for future research. Garrett talked specifically about the distribution and effect of fake news.
