Professor Jesse Fox and graduate student Margaret Rooney's study found that men who took, edited and posted more selfies scored higher on measures of narcissism and psychopathy.

“It’s not surprising that men who post a lot of selfies and spend more time editing them are more narcissistic, but this is the first time it has actually been confirmed in a study,” said Fox.

Fox and Rooney's work was published in Personality and Individual Differences, an online psychological journal.
