Assistant Professor Miriam (Mimi) Brinberg is a co-investigator on a recently-awarded $3.6 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to explore the issue of teen digital dating abuse and its impact on mental health.

Brinberg will collaborate with other researchers to conduct focus groups with teens, aiming to understand their experiences with technology in romantic relationships. Over the course of a year, participants will complete surveys and share their digital interactions, providing insight into digital dating abuse and its impact on mental health in daily life.

The research team hopes to gain insights from this study that will support teens in building healthier romantic relationships and help reduce mental health issues linked to digital dating abuse.
