Bayer Receives Mattox Award for Research

Joseph Bayer

Joseph Bayer, assistant professor in the School of Communication, received the Mattox Award for research for 2020. The Sarah Evans Mattox Faculty Research endowment provides support on a competitive basis for a faculty member’s research. Specifically this award is given to a highly productive, innovative faculty member who conducts research on “the impact of media on public opinion and/or society,” and is based on articles that have been published during 2020.

Bayer has been published in journals such as Social Psychology Quarterly, Annual Review of Psychology and Nature Human Behaviour.
