Appiah Speaks on BASCA Partnership with Local Agency

School of Communication Associate Director Dr. Osei Appiah was quoted in Columbus CEO about BASCA's partnership with local marketing agency, The Shipyard.

Appiah founded BASCA 12 years ago to help advance Black students in the advertising, PR and marketing industries. This summer two BASCA interns are interning at The Shipyard, a partnership arranged by Appiah and Shipyard CEO Rick Milenthal.

"There is a pressing need for companies in partnership with academic institutions to rectify the under-representation of Blacks at advertising and marketing firms," Appiah said.
