PhD student Nick Polavin wins Top Research Poster Award

Nick Polavin, PhD student in the School of Communication, won The American Society of Trial Consultants’ Top Research Poster Award this year. Polavin's research was conducted with professor Dr. Joyce Wang. They predicted and examined how different jury verdict forms can determine the amount of money awarded to plaintiffs in civil lawsuits.

Polavin’s research interests include jury decision making, cognitive biases and decision making fallacies. He currently works in the Communication and Psychophysiology research lab.
