My research interests are in the media psychology area of communication. My work explores how people form attitudes towards both real and fictional entertainment media figures. I am particularly interested in how perceptual processes such as moral judgement differ between entertainment and non-entertainment contexts, and how that impacts what features of narratives and the characters in them we are likely to find appealing. In my free time, I enjoy writing fiction, watching horror movies, and listening to psychedelic rock.
