My research interests are broadly in the areas of media psychology and moral psychology. Specifically, I am interested in how people form perceptions of fictional characters. Currently, much of my research is invested in what makes characters (particularly ones who behave immorally) likeable and worthy of genuine social attachment. In my future work, I would like to further explore the role of identity in character perceptions, especially belonging to the queer community. In my free time, I enjoy horror movies, entomology, and pirates.
