COMM 1102H: History & Theories of Communication

This is a combination of Comm 1101 History of Communication and Comm 1100 Communication in Society that is open only to honors students. The first half of the course covers the history of human communication from the beginning of spoken and written communication to modern mediated and mass communication. The second half covers the various theoretical approaches to the study of communication.
Prereq: Honors standing. Not open to students with credit for 1101 (101) or 1100 (200). GE soc sci indivs and groups course.
