Kraft Wins KTA Research Grant

November 7, 2018

Assistant Professor – Clinical Nicole Kraft received a Kappa Tau Alpha Research Grant to study the value of the messaging app Slack on teaching. Slack is available on laptops, desktops and mobile devices and allows students to communicate with each other and faculty. Kraft plans to study the use of Slack as an email replacement in a journalism class.

“Millennials are not inclined to use email, and it creates a barrier to communication between students and faculty,” Kraft said.
