Nicole Kraft, assistant professor (clinical), received the AEJMC Media Ethics Division’s Teaching Excellence Award for 2018. The award looked specifically at Kraft’s Media Law and Ethics course. The teaching award will be granted during the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication conference in Washington, D.C., in August.
Kraft also served as a MED officer for 2017-18.
School of Communication graduating senior Lily Ng was awarded Top Outstanding Graduate at the Central Ohio PRSA PRism Awards on May 17. Each of the six PRSSA chapters in the Central Ohio area nominated one outstanding graduate, and Ng was chosen by Central Ohio PRSA as the region's overall top graduate. She was acknowledged for her efforts in increasing diversity within Ohio State’s PRSSA chapter and for her work interning for Yelp and Piada.

The top undergraduate students in the School of Communication were honored at the annual Undergraduate Scholarship and Awards ceremony April 23 in the Ohio Union.
Top Communication Scholar was awarded to Justin Hill, while Top Journalism Scholar went to Ashely Diggins. These awards are to recognize students at the Junior level who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement.
